To prevent possible fire, electric shock, personal
injury, or damage to the tester:
• Do not open the case. You cannot repair or replace
parts in the case.
• Use only replacement parts that are approved by
Fluke Networks.
• If you replace parts that are not specified as
replacement parts, the warranty will not apply to
the product and you can make the product
dangerous to use.
• Use only service centers that are approved by Fluke
Networks.
WCaution
If you replace electrical parts yourself, the tester will
possibly not have the correct calibration and can
give incorrect test results. If the calibration is not
correct, cable manufacturers can remove their
warranty from the cabling you install.
Verify Operation
The tester does a self test when you turn it on. If the tester shows
an error or does not turn on, refer to If the Tester Does Not
Operate as Usual on page 367.
