Do a FiberInspector Test
Note
Versiv testers do not support a wireless connection
with the FI-3000 probe.
Use and store the tester with a module installed to
protect the connector on the back of the tester.
Setting Description
End Type Select the end type with the correct number of fibers.
Then, tap DONE.
The end types show white dots for active fibers and gray
dots for unused fibers.
Note
To do an MPO test with the FI-1000 probe,
select the single fiber end type. The FI-1000
MPO tip can focus on a single fiber at a time.
Key Position
(FI-3000 MPO
tests only)
Select the key position (Key Left or Key Right) to agree
with the position of the tip on the Probe and adapter as
appropriate. Then, tap
DONE. See “MPO Key Position”.
Auto Focus
before Test
(FI-3000 only)
To see this setting, do a FiberInspector test, then tap
SETTINGS on the results screen.
On: The probe focuses the image when you start a test.
Off: You focus the image manually before you start a
test. Use this setting if the probe cannot focus the
image.
