Orange, dashed lines show at the Span Start and Span Stop
locations. The trace is zoomed so that the span section fills the
screen.
The launch compensation markers never show with the Span
Start and Span Stop markers because you must turn off launch
compensation to use the span function.
Measurements for events in the span show in green if the
event passed, red if the event failed, or black is there is no
limit for measurement.
Measurements for events outside of the span show in blue.
Note
When the Span Stop location is in the middle of
an event, the tester shows the loss for the entire
event.
PASS: All measurements in the span were within the limits.
FAIL: One or more measurements in the span exceeded its limit.
How to Remove the Span Definition
Tap Tools, Span, then tap Delete.
How to Remove the Span Definition from a Test Result
1 Import the result into LinkWare PC.
2 Double-click on the result, then click Full Size Trace Viewer.
3 In the OTDR Trace Viewer window, click Span > Clear > OK,
then click Yes.
