Chapter 14. Administration - Support

In this chapter, we describe some of the support functions of the IBM System Storage

DS3500. These functions can help with troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. Specifically,

we describe the functions that are accessed through the DS Storage Manager (Subsystem

Management) tab, and the maintenance, troubleshooting and recovery functions that are

accessed from the DS Storage Manager (Subsystem Management) Advanced menu. We

also describe the tools available in Storage Manager to update the controller firmware and

NVSRAM, and the drive and ESM firmware.
