2. Click the Automatically collect support data for critical events check box in the new 
window (Figure 14-9) to enable the automatic data collection and, optionally, you can use 
the Change... button to specify the destination directory for the collected data. The value 
of the Support data filename cannot be changed.

14.2.3  Collect drive data
You can save diagnostic data from all of the physical drives installed in the DS3500 storage 
subsystem. This drive diagnostic data is only readable by your IBM Customer Support 
representative and this option is normally only used at their specific request.
Each drive in the DS3500 storage subsystem keeps a log of statistical information that can be 
used by your IBM Customer Support representative to analyze the performance of your drives 
and for troubleshooting any drive problems that might exist.
1. In the DS Storage Manager (Subsystem Management) window, click on the Advanced ďŽ 
Troubleshooting ďŽ Collect Drive Data menu command to start the Collect Drive Data 
window as shown in Figure 14-10.
