controller firmware is not presently upgradeable. The reason or reasons for this status is
reported in the Details section of the upgrade tool window.

If the firmware upgrade tool reports a status of non-upgradeable as shown in Figure 14-37
you can click the View Log button to review the cause of the non-upgradeable status.

In this example, the problem that was preventing a firmware upgrade was fixed by clearing
the DS3500 storage subsystem event log. See 14.6, âView Event Logâ on page 395 for
