2. You can clear the cumulative error counts for both drive channels by selecting either Drive 
Channel 1 or 2 in the Summary view and then clicking the Clear Error Counts button.
3. You can manually set a drive channel to the Degraded state to force all I/Os to use a 
different drive channel by selecting either Drive Channel 1 or 2 in the Summary view and 
clicking the Set Degraded button. You will be asked to confirm that you want to perform 
this operation. Type âyesâ in the textbox and click OK to continue.
4. If the status of either of the two Drive Channels is Degraded, the Summary view reports 
the status as shown in Figure 14-118 on page 415. To set the Drive Channel to the 
Optimal status, select the Drive Channel in the Summary view and click the Set Optimal 
button. You will be asked to confirm that you want to perform this operation, Click Yes to 
continue.
Important: This procedure is an advanced troubleshooting technique and should not 
be attempted if there are no problems with your DS3500 storage system
