106 General Maintenance
To remove a dual (or split) chute, use the following procedure:
1. Start the engine and engage the hydraulic pump.
2. If the truck is equipped with a right-hand side crusher panel, position both chutes on the left-
hand side of the hopper by using the chute control levers (see Figure 3-129).
3. Lower the crusher panel, if installed.
4. Turn OFF the hydraulic pump and the engine.

5. Lock out and tag out the vehicle (see Locking Out and Tagging Out the Vehicle on page 14).
6. Remove the protective panel by removing its retaining bolts (see Figure 3-130).

7. Start the engine and engage the hydraulic pump.
8. Raise the crusher panel.
9. If the truck is equipped with a left-hand side crusher panel, position both chutes on the right-
hand side of the hopper by using the chute control levers (see Figure 3-129).
Danger!
Never enter the hopper while the hydraulic system is engaged.
