Figure 3-307
Top door fully open limit switch
If installed, this switch is located on the mid-section of the curbside rubrail next to the top door lock.
On dual H
ELPING-HAND™ units, a second limit switch of this type is installed on the opposite side.
If the automated arm function cannot be activated by the operator despite of the fact that the top
door is fully open and locked, an adjustment of the top door fully open limit switch may be required.
To adjust the top door fully open limit switch, apply the following procedure:
1. Unscrew the switch lever adjustment screws (see Figure 3-308).
2. Raise or lower the detection lever a little bit and tighten up the screws. The detection lever must
touch the side of the top door for the switch to be triggered.
3. Test the operation. The automated arm should be working fine when the top door is fully open.
4. Repeat the adjustment procedure if need be.

Adjusting Crusher Panel Up Limit Switch (optional)
The crusher panel up limit switch (see Figure 3-309) disables the arm operation when the crusher
panel is not in its stowed position and redirects the arm power to the crusher panel up function when
the deadman switch on the arm joystick is activated. This forces the crusher panel to rise to the up
position in order to let the arm works.
