Restricted air lter element. Clean or replace air lter elements.
Wrong grade of fuel.
Use only ULSD (Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel) fuel with
a maximum sulfur content of 15 ppm (parts per
million).
Engine overloaded. Remove load. Run at fast idle to clear the engine.
Turbocharger gasket leak. Repair or replace. See your authorized dealer.
Incorrect injection pump timing. Repair or replace. See your authorized dealer.
Excessive fuel deliver. Injection pump
or nozzle malfunctions.

Radiator shroud missing or damaged. See your authorized dealer to replace shroud.
Engine overloaded. Reduce load. Operate in low gear.
Radiator cap doesn’t seal. Replace radiator cap.
Fan damaged. Replace fan.
Injection pump timing incorrect. See your authorized dealer.
Hydraulic system overheating due to
internal leakage.
Check for clogged hydraulic oil cooler. See your
authorized dealer.
Thermostats stuck (or missing). Replace thermostats.
Interior of cooling system coated with
lime deposits.
Flush the cooling system with cleaner. Rell with
water and antifreeze solution.
Water pump leaking. Repair or replace pump.
Excessive fuel delivery or injection
pump malfunctions.
See your authorized dealer.
Steering is difcult.
Low hydraulic uid level. Add hydraulic oil.
Hydraulic tank return lters contain
contamination.
Check lters for contamination and clean or
replace.
Steering motor priority relief valve set
incorrectly.
Check relief valve setting. Check relief valve
setting. It should be 2200 PSI. Adjust setting if
necessary.
Worn hydraulic pump. Repair or replace.
Worn steering orbital motor. Repair or replace.
Worn steering cylinder. Repair or replace.
