SYMPTOM CAUSE REMEDY
Engine oil pressure is
low.
Electrical power not being supplied to
gauge.
Check fuses.
Oil level too high or too low.
Check for leaks. Add or drain engine oil. Check
dipstick calibration.
Oil lter plugged. Change oil and replace oil lter.
Oil diluted with fuel.
Replace fuel injector, fuel transfer pump and/or
injection pump.
Oil pressure sensor or gauge
malfunctioning.
Replace oil pressure sensor or gauge.
Oil viscosity is too low. Change oil and oil lter.
Oil pressure valve faulty. Repair or replace. See your authorized dealer.
Loose oil pump drive gear or worn
pump housing.
See your authorized dealer.
Machine “jerks” when
moving forward or
reverse.
Park brake not fully disengaged. Disengage park brake.
Engine speed set too low. Operate engine at recommended RPMs.
Air leaking into hydraulic system. Tight or replace hoses, ttings or lter.
Hydrostatic pump malfunction. Repair or replace pump.
Low hydraulic oil. Fill hydraulic tank to proper level.
Engine surges or stalls
frequently.
Air entering charge side of fuel
system.
Check fuel lter for air bubbles. Tighten ttings
and connections. Inspect lines for damage.
Water or debris in fuel. Drain fuel, replace fuel lter and rell.
Fuel lter clogged. Replace lter.
Return linen from injection pump to
fuel tank restricted.
Check fuel lines for kinks, debris or damage.
Clean with compressed air. Replace lines if
needed.
Air lter elements clogged. Clean or replace air lter elements.
Fuel transfer pump or nozzles
malfunction.
See your authorized dealer.
Leaking head gasket, sticking or
burned valves, valve clearance
incorrect, worn or broken piston rings.
Refer to your Engine Owner’s Manual.
Engine misses,
operates erratically or
operates poorly at low
speeds.
Air entering charge side of fuel
system.
Check fuel lter for air bubbles. Tighten ttings
and connections. Inspect lines for damage.
Water or debris in fuel.
Drain and ush fuel system. Change fuel lter and
rell tank.
Return line from injection pump to tank
restricted.
Clean and replace cap.
Slow idle speed set too low.
Check for bent, worn, or loose speed control
linkage. Repair and/or readjust linkage.
Fuel transfer pump malfunction. Repair or replace.
Injection pump or nozzle malfunction. See your authorized dealer.
