6.5.2 Network management telegram (NMT)
The network management telegram contains the identifier "0" and the command, which
is included in the user data and consists of the command byte and the node address:
[6-5] Network management telegram for changing the communication phases
One node, the CAN master, changes the communication phases of the entire network. The
CAN master can also be a regenerative power supply module. Parameterising a device to
act as a CAN master ( 110)
Example:
Data exchange via process data object is only possible in the "operational" state. If all
nodes connected to the bus are to be switched from the "pre-operational" to the
"operational" communication state by the CAN master, the identifier and the user data of
the transmit telegram have to be set as follows:
Identifier: 0x00 (network management)
User data: 0x0100 (NMT command "start remote node" to all nodes)
