6 "CAN on board" system bus
The regenerative power supply module is provided with an integrated CANopen system
bus interface ("CAN on board"), which can, for instance, be used to exchange process data
and parameter values between the connected devices. This interface also enables the
connection of additional components such as distributed terminals, operator and input
devices ("HMIs") as well as external control and host systems.
The interface transmits CAN objects following the CANopen communication profile
(CiA DS301, version 4.02) developed by the umbrella association of CiA (CAN in
Automation) in conformity with the CAL (CAN Application Layer).
