Logbook
8.4.1 Functional description
The structure of the logbook corresponds to a ring buffer structure:
[8-3] Ring buffer structure
8.4.2 Filtering logbook entries
Before the logbook logs new entries in the ring buffer, the entries are filtered by means of
a parameterisable filter. This filter can be used to exclude events with certain error
responses (trouble, warning, information, etc.) from being entered in the logbook.
The filter parameters are set under C00169
by means of a bit mask. A set bit blocks the
entry of the corresponding event into the logbook.
From software version V2.0 onwards, bit 0 can be used to additionally activate the
option of suppressing successive
identical logbook entries ("multiple entries"). In this
case, only the time stamp of the last (most recent) entry is saved together with the
number of successive occurrences of the event.
As long as free logbook memory capacity is
available, a new entry will be saved to the next
free memory location ().
If all memory locations are occupied, the oldest
entry () will be deleted to save a new entry.
The newest entries always remain available.
