Q DPF system warning
Under the following driving conditions, the
warning message may appears earlier than
normal.

O When only driving at low speeds (for
example 20 km/h [12 mph] or below).
O If the engine is turned on and off fre-
quently (if the engine is not left running
for more than 10 minutes at a time).

: Differs in accordance with weather, driv-
ing conditions, etc.
Q ECB (Electronically Controlled
Brake System)
The electronically controlled system
generates braking force correspond-
ing to the brake operation
Q Multi Terrain ABS (Anti-lock
Brake System)
Helps to prevent wheel lock when the
brakes are applied suddenly, or if the
brakes are applied while driving on a
slippery road surface, or in off-road
conditions (such as rough roads, sand
and mud)
The Multi Terrain ABS operates in syn-
chronization with the Multi-terrain

Q Brake assist
Generates an increased level of brak-
ing force after the brake pedal is
depressed when the system detects a
panic stop situation
Q If the malfunction indicator lamp
comes on
The malfunction indicator lamp comes
on if you continue driving while the warn-
ing message appears on the multi-infor-
mation display. In this event, damage
may be caused to the vehicle or an acci-
dent may occur. Have the vehicle
inspected by your Lexus dealer immedi-
ately.
To keep driving safety and perfor-
mance, the following systems oper-
ate automatically in response to
various driving situations. Be
aware, however, that these systems
are supplementary and should not
be relied upon too heavily when
operating the vehicle.
