7-2. Steps to take in an emergency
z Fluid leaks under the vehicle
(Water dripping from the air condi-
tioning after use is normal.)
z Flat-looking tires or uneven tire
wear
z Engine coolant temperature gauge
needle continually points higher
than normal.
z Engine oil pressure gauge continu-
ally points lower than normal.
z Voltmeter continually points higher
or lower than normal.
z Changes in exhaust sound
z Excessive tire squeal when corner-
ing
z Strange noises related to the sus-
pension system
z Pinging or other noises related to
the engine
Q When towing a vehicle equipped with
a Stop & Start system (if equipped)
If it is necessary to tow the vehicle with all
4 wheels on the ground, perform the fol-
lowing procedure before towing the
vehicle, in order to protect the system.
Turn the engine switch off and then start
the engine or turn the engine switch to
ON.

symptoms, your vehicle probably
needs adjustment or repair. Con-
tact your Lexus dealer as soon as
possible.
