Parameters: protocol rip1 – enables RIP1 routing protocol for LAN1
rip2 – enables RIP2 routing protocol for LAN1
static – turns off all dynamic routing protocols and enables static routing
Command: >set lan1 speed
Syntax: set lan1 speed speed duplex
Explanation: Set line speed and duplex mode of LAN1.
Parameters: speed the speed of LAN1. The possible values are 10 or 100. For auto
detection, put the keyword “auto”. The default value is auto.
duplex the duplex mode of LAN1. It can be either half or full. If the speed
parameter is set to auto, it is unnecessary to input this parameter.
Command: >set nat
Syntax: set nat mode interface
Explanation: enables or disabled the NAT / NAPT feature on particular interface
Parameters: mode nat – enables NAT feature
Napt – enables NAPT feature
off – disable NAT and NAPT feature
interface the interface name.
Command: >set password
Syntax: set password user checking
Explanation: Enables or disables password checking. If password checking is enabled, this command
will twice prompt a request for the for the new password ..
Parameters: user user name, operator or admin.
checking enable – enable password checking
disable – disable password checking
Command: >set snmp community
Syntax: set snmp community namestring
Explanation: Set SNMP community name
Parameters: namestring
Command: >set snmp contact
Syntax: set snmp contact
Explanation: Set device maintainer’s contact information
