Parameters: ip the ip address of the tftp server
file_name file name
21.2.14 E1 Commands
Command: >activate e1 loopback
Syntax: activate e1 loopback loopback_type
Explanation: Activate WAN1 diagnostic
Parameters: loopback_type
Command: >activate e1 pattern
Syntax: activate e1 pattern type
Explanation: Three test patterns are available to determine faults such as deficient clock recovery,
faulty ALBO level recovery, inadequate jitter margin, presence of bridge taps, and mis-
optioned network interface. These patterns are described in Section 4.4 of this manual
under the heading Test Patterns.
Parameters: type
Command: >activate e1 bert
Syntax: activate e1 bert type
Explanation: It is used to perform a PRBS (Pseudo-Random Bit Sequence 2
15
-1) test. The PRBS test
channel can be is selected by full (all 31 DS0 channels), wan1(channels for WAN1 port) or
idle(idle channels). When PRBS is activated, the “show e1 diagnostics” command shows
the results of pattern synchronization and errors count. If PRBS pattern is received, PRBS
SYNC is shown . Else, PRBS UNSYNC is shown and bit error count is displayed which
counts all single error. User may use key to inject single bit error, key to reset error
counter, and ESC key to quit PRBS test display.
Parameters: type
Command: >add timeslot wan1
Syntax: add timeslot wan1 start_TS [end_TS]
Explanation: add DS0 to WAN1 port
Parameters: start_TS
end_TS
Command: >delete timeslot wan1
Syntax: delete timeslot wan1 start_TS [end_TS]
Explanation: delete DS0 from WAN1 port
Parameters: start_TS
end_TS
Command: >delete performance
