PROBLEM 16
No swing operation, but engine loads.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Mechanical hang-up; Solenoid failure; Wiring fault.
CHECKS
When applicable switch or handle is enabled is the following displayed:
Swing lockout disengaged?
Swing brake disengaged?
Yes No
Repair or replace switch or wiring.
Check for 28 volts DC to swing lock or brake solenoid valve.
(See Section 3 - Checking Electrical Inputs/Outputs.)
Check low-pressure source at swing lock or brake valve for 500 psi
(35 bar) with a 0 to 1,000 psi (0 to 69 bar) gauge.
Repair or replace swing
lock, brake or gearbox.
247 psi (17 bar) or more
247 psi (17 bar) or less
No
Replace relief valve or pump.
Set pump low-pressure source relief to 500 psi (35 bar).
Is 500 psi (35 bar) obtained?
Voltage
No Voltage

NOTE: The swing lock is installed
on past production cranes only. On
current production cranes the
swing lock has been removed and
the rocker switch has been
removed from the console.
