Installing XEdit
2Click the XEdit button.
The system will automatically detect the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version on
your computer, and, if necessary, will prompt you to install the JRE version
1.6.0
update
20 (refer to Installing the Java Runtime Environment, on page 419, for details).
3If the Opening MEdit.jnlp window appears, click OK.
Another window appears, displaying the progress of the XEdit download.
Notes
• Firefox users: If you see a security warning instead of the home page, then
refer to
Registering your Multiviewer's Security Credentials with your
Browser, on page 421.
• To use XEdit, you must have Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.6.0
update
20 installed on your PC or laptop. Click the link at the bottom of the
page to download the installer for the JRE version required to use XEdit.
