Chapter 5 DISASSEMBLY OF BASIC ENGINE
2.10 Camshaft Gear - Remove
(1) Remove the nut (left-hand thread).
(2) Remove the camshaft gear with the puller using the
threads in the gear.

2.11 Camshaft - Remove
(1) Remove the thrust plate.
(2) Lift the camshaft with a sling fitted to the top of the
crankcase and remove the camshaft to the rear of the
engine.

2.12 Idler Shaft - Remove
Screw two jack bolts evenly into the jack bolt holes, and
remove the idler shaft.

Puller
Threaded holes
(M10 × 1.25 mm)
Remove the camshaft by lifting from Crankcase top
face, paying attention not to damage the Crankcase
and camshaft.
