5. MODIFYING THE MEASUREMENT CONDITIONS
5.12 Setting the Drive Unit
The SJ-301 can use the front escape type drive unit and lateral type drive unit in addition to
the standard drive unit.The lateral type drive unit can be used under the standard settings.
Since these drive units have different approach lengths, perform the drive unit setup (the
entrance length) as follows.
Standard drive unit :
STAND
(approach length 0.5mm)
Lateral type drive unit :
STAND
(approach length 0.5mm)
Front escape type drive unit : (approach length 2.5mm)
NOTE If there is an error in setting the drive unit, an error message such as “DRIVE
ERROR 1” and “OVERRANGE” may appear, disabling measurement.
