SPC OUTPUT AND DATA
COMMUNICATION
9.1 SPC Output
SPC data is available by connecting the SJ-301 to a Mitutoyo Digimatic Data Processor (such
as the DP-1VR).
This chapter explains operations of the SJ-301 being connected with DP-1VR.
IMPORTANT The SPC data includes only the parameter value being displayed. Such as the
parameter name, etc., will not be outputted. To perform data control and/or statistical
processing with the multiple parameters, set up measurement routines that can avoid
the data pieces from being mixed with different parameters.
Note that, the parameter data for SPC output must be consistent in terms of the
decimal places, otherwise an error will occur.

The SJ-301 has a capability of SPC data output and RS-232C-interfaced
communication with external devices.
