11.3 Recharging the Battery
Recharge the battery in the following cases.
• The battery icon indicates that the remaining voltage has been reduced.
The battery icon reduces the fill area corresponding to the voltage remaining, as shown
below. If the remaining voltage is found low with the icon display, recharge the battery as
soon as possible.

The SJ-301 will be turned off
after the icon has flashed for
10 seconds.
• Although the battery icon has not yet turned out empty, a possibility is that the remaining
voltage has been reduced as a result of substantial measurements conducted.
NOTE If excessive heat or abnormal voltage is detected in the battery, it may not be
recharged properly.
TIP The battery that has almost no power remaining may require a maximum of 15 hours
to be fully charged.
