3.5 Turning On/Off the Power Supply
The AC adapter and a built-in battery are used to supply power to the SJ-301.
If an AC outlet is available, connect the AC adapter and turn on the SJ-301.
To operate the SJ-301 powered with the built-in battery, turn on the SJ-301 without connect-
ing the AC-adapter.
3.5.1 Turning the power on/off
■ Turn on the battery switch first.
IMPORTANT Do not connect the AC adapter and turn on/off the battery switch. Otherwise, the
battery may be overcharged.
The SJ-301 has been shipped with the battery switch turned to off. First, turn on the battery
switch.

NOTE The built-in battery is used to retain the measured results and other data while the
SJ-301 is in the auto-sleep state. Therefore, while the AC adapter is supplying
power, it is still necessary for the battery switch to be on.
