If calibrating the SJ-301 with the roughness specimen supplied, be sure to calibrate with the
default values shown below that have been used for calibrating the roughness specimen.

NOTE If the SJ-301 needs to be calibrated with a standard other than the supplied one, the
default calibration conditions must be modified for the roughness specimen to be
used. For information about the procedure used to modify the calibration conditions
refer to “5.15 Modifying the Calibration Conditions”.
