Touch the [CAL.] button on the Home screen.
The Calibration screen will appear.
Displayed on the Calibration screen is the set calibration
value.
TIP • If the SJ-301 is being calibrated for the first
time, “3.00 m (118 in)”, that is the nominal
value of the precision roughness specimen,
will be displayed.
• See “5.15 Modifying the Calibration Condi-
tions” if changing the calibration value or
calibration conditions.
• Calibration value to be set is the Ra value
marked on the precision roughness speci-
men.
If the displayed value is different from that marked on
the precision roughness specimen, modify the calibration
value.
If the calibration value does not require modification, proceed
to step 4.
Touch the Specimen roughness button.
The Specimen Roughness Input screen will appear.
Enter the specimen roughness in the filed and touch the
[Enter] button.
TIP Refer to “2.2 Outline of the Touch Panel
■ Inputting numeric values”.
The Calibration screen will be restored.
