MEASUREMENT
OPERATION
4.1 Overall Measurement Flow
The flow below overviews the basic operation of the SJ-301.
: Operations not always required.
: Operations regularly required.
Select either the AC-adapter or built-in battery as the power supply.
Set up the SJ-301 (Attaching/detaching the Drive/Detector unit and cable
connection).
Modify the measurement conditions as necessary.
For information about measurement conditions that can be modified refer to
the next page.
Calibration is a means of adjusting the Detector gain so that the SJ-301 can
yield correct measurements.
This can be easily performed by measuring the supplied precision roughness
specimen.
Measures workpieces and displays the results.
Measurement data can be output to the built-in printer.
Also, SPC data output or RS-232C interfaced data communication with a PC
is possible. Refer to “Chapter 9 SPC OUTPUT AND DATA
COMMUNICATION” for details.
After measurement, safe-keep the SJ-301 by storing the Drive/Detector unit
inside the compartment of the Display unit. Also, charge the built-in battery
as necessary.
