11.4 Replacing the Battery Pack
■ Battery pack replacement procedure
IMPORTANT Read the following instructions thoroughly before replacing the battery pack. Replace
the battery pack carefully so as not to damage or break the Display unit or cables.
NOTE • The battery replacement should be performed in a room with as little dust as
possible. Exercise care so that neither dust nor oil mist make their way into the
Display unit. The contamination on the inside of the Display unit may result in unit
malfunction.
• Replacing the built-in battery will erase all the measurement data and measure-
ment conditions stored in the internal memory. Arrange a backup of the neces-
sary data using the printer or the memory card.
1. Turn off the power to the Display unit.
2. Disconnect the AC adapter if connected with the Display unit.
3. Turn the battery switch at the rear of the Display unit to OFF.
4. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver and remove the three screws that secure the battery
compartment cover to the bottom of the Display unit.
Be careful so as not to lose the screws and battery compartment cover.
