3. SETTING UP THE SJ-301
TIP While power is being supplied to the SJ-301, a roll of printer paper can be loaded by
using the auto-feed function following the procedures below.
1. Turn on the power supply.
2. Detach the printer cover.
3. Hold down the [FEED] key until the unwanted (remaining) strip of printer paper is
out.

4. After lifting the lever, insert the end of the printer paper to the sensor under the
roller and set the paper roll.
IMPORTANT Do not move the blue levers. The roller is disengaged if either lever
is moved.

5. Push the lever down when the lead end of the paper has reached the sensor, as
shown in the above figure.
The printer paper is automatically fed into place.
6. Press the [FEED] key to feed the printer paper if the lead end of the paper does
not reach the sensor, as shown in the figure below.
