Keypads
The MC9190-G has interchangeable modular keypads. The modular keypads can be changed in the field as
necessary to support specialized applications.
Replacing the Keypad
1. Press the Power button to suspend the MC9190-G.
2. Remove the two keypad screws. Slide the keypad down and lift up.

3. Replace the keypad and re-attach using the two screws.
NOTE Do not remove the keypad while the MC9190-G is on and do not operate the MC9190-G with the keypad
detached. Follow proper Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) precautions to avoid damaging the SD card. Proper
ESD precautions include, but are not limited to, working on an ESD mat and ensuring that the operator is
properly grounded.

CAUTION Do not apply more than 4 in-lbs of torque when tightening the keypad screws.
