If the IP address of Portal Server is configured, it can be accessed directly, which means
the user can access this IP address directly without authentication.
Configuring the URL of the Authentication Page of Portal Server
The URL of Portal Server is the URL redirected to user’s browser while the user is subject to web
authentication, and the browser will proceed with web authentication through this URL. If this parameter
is not configured, the browser will be redirected to the IP address of Portal Server, with URL format being
http://portal server IP (e.g. http://192.168.5.3). Perform the following steps to configure the URL of the
authentication page of Portal Server:

Enter the global configuration mode.
Ruijie(config)# http redirect
homepage url-string
Set the homepage URL of authentication page as url-string,
which must start with “http://” or “https://” and is not case
sensitive, with maximum length of 255 characters. You are
allowed to specify the HTTP listening port of the Portal
Server in the URL string (by default, port 80 will be listened
by the server).
Ruijie(config)# show http redirect
View the configuration of HTTP redirection.
To remove the authentication page URL configured, execute the no http redirect homepage command
in the global configuration mode.
Configuration example:
# Configure the authentication page of Portal Server as http://www.web-auth.net/login.html.
Ruijie# configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
Ruijie(config)# http redirect homepage
http://www.web-auth.net/login.html
Ruijie(config)# show http redirect
