Configuring Scope of Network Resources Requiring No Authentication
After Web authentication is activated, an authenticated user must pass Web authentication before he/she
can access the network resources. As in some cases, unauthenticated users may be allowed to access
some network resources, e.g. downloading security patches, visiting bulletins, this command may be
used to define the scope of network resources requiring no authentication. If a site falls within the scope
network resources requiring no authentication after the scope has been set, all users (including
unauthenticated users) can access the site.
By default, no network resources requiring no authentication is set, so authenticated users are not
allowed to access the network resources. To set the network resources requiring no authentication,
perform the following steps:
Set the maximum scope of network resources to 50.
If the ARP CHECK function is enabled on the device, the IP
address, including the VRRP address, of the upstream
gateway connected with terminal users must be configured as
authentication-free resource with the keyword arp. Other
authentication-free resources do not need to carry the
keyword arp.
Use the parameter ip-mask to specify an IP segment as
network resources requiring no authentication.
