Electrical installation
1. Observe the modified terminal assignment for the CLV in the connection area of the
AMV/S 40 (refer to
Chapter 4.4.1 Installing the AMV/S 40 connection module,
Page 4-11
).
2. The wiring and configuration of the AMV/S 40 connection module is described in the
Operating instructions "AMV/S 40 connection module ”
(Order No. 8 008 292, English
edition).

5.4 Preparation of the electrical installation
5.4.1 Requirements for the host interface
The host interface of the CLV can be operated as an RS-422/485 unit or as an RS-232 unit.
Table 5-2
shows the recommended maximum cable lengths as a function of the data trans-
mission rate.
