5 Project planning of indication and operation
devices
Various operation and indication devices are available in the fire detection system
FS20. The functions of the devices differ. Access to and ↑ visibility of other
operation and indication devices can be configured in different ways.
In a first project planning step, it is necessary to define which types of indication
and operation devices are required and how they can be integrated into the fire
detection system.
Procedure
1. Define the places in the building where an operation and indication device is
desired and required.
2. Define the ↑ visibility you want (system-wide or station-wide) for each
operation and indication device.
3. Define the function and type for each operation and indication device.
4. Define the type of power supply for each operation and indication device.
5.1 Operation and indication devices
The following operation and indication devices are available in the fire detection
system FS20:
Compact stations
The operating terminals are already integrated in the compact stations.
● Fire control panel (2 loops) FC2020
● Fire control panel (modular) FC2030
● Fire control panel (4 loops) FC2040
● Fire control panel (modular) FC2060
● Fire terminal FT2040
19" stations
The 19" stations meet the 19" industry standard and do not have an operating unit
as standard.
● Fire control panel (19", modular) FC2080
Comfort operating unit FT2080
The fire terminal (Touch) FT2080 is an operating unit with a touchscreen and
housing. The following operating units are available:
● Fire terminal (Touch) FT2080-A1 with EN 54-2-compliant operation
● Fire terminal (Touch) FT2080-C2 with FBA terminal [CH]
The following housings can be used:
● 19" pedestal housing with FC2080
● Housing (Eco) FH2001-A1
● Rear panel (FT2080) FHA2039
● Desktop housing (FT2080) FHA2040
● Third-party housing with rear cover (FT2080) installed on rear for EMC
compatibility
