8.15 Remote access via cRSP
The 'common Remote Service Platform' (cRSP) makes it possible to manage
multiple customer installations and enables access control of a 'Site'.
The following functions are available:
● 'SintesoView'
● 'Download site'
● 'Upload site'
● 'Upload site event memory'
● 'Upload site log files'
● 'Diagnostics report'
The following functions are not available:
Updating the firmware of the main CPU and of the components and peripheral
devices
To establish a connection with '
option in the 'Connection to IP address' window and enter 'localhost' and
'127.0.0.1'.
You will find more information about cRSP on the Siemens Intranet, by following
this link.
You will find information about configuring remote access in document 009078.
See chapter 'Applicable documents'.

8.16.1 Redundancy and degraded mode
For networking via the FCnet/SAFEDLINK, each ↑ station must be equipped with a
↑ network module (SAFEDLINK).
Redundant networking
The FCnet/SAFEDLINK system bus wiring is loop-shaped. The ↑ stations can
continue to communicate even when the bus has been interrupted at one point or a
short-circuit has occurred.
Degraded mode in the ↑ SAFEDLINK system
If the ↑ CPU of a station fails, the ↑ station can still trigger a collective alarm.
If the network module fails, the affected station and all of the connected peripheral
devices (e.g. detector, alarm horns and remote transmission device) are
disconnected from the network. When a second network module (degraded mode
module) is used, degraded mode is ensured in the system. When the main module
fails, the degraded mode module assumes the most important functions.
Only the following signals are transmitted in degraded mode:
● Degraded fire alarm
● Switching-off of the acoustic ↑ alarming equipment
