7.3 MS9i detector line
7.3.1 Guidelines, MS9i detector lines of the FC2080
The procedure that should be followed when planning the MS9i detector lines for
the line cards (MS9i) for the fire control panel FC2080 is similar to the one for
planning 008843 as described in the FS20 system documentation.
The following features differ for the FC2080:
The FC2080 supports a maximum of 3000 physical elements. An MS9i device
is considered a physical element.
The FC2080 supports the operation of a maximum of 30 line cards (MS9i).
The planning steps for each line card (MS9i) are to be carried out separately in
accordance with Planning, 008843.
7.3.2 Devices that can be connected to the line card (MS9i)
The line card (MS9i) FCL2003-A1 allows MS9i fire detectors to be connected to
fire control panels with a card cage. The purpose of the line card is to allow existing
MS9i detector lines that are old but cannot be replaced to operate in conjunction
with an FS20 fire control panel.
The following figure shows which devices can be connected to the line card (MS9i).
