7.6 Interactive Ex detector line
7.6.1 Devices that can be connected to the line
card (interactive, Ex)
The ↑ line card (interactive, Ex) FCL2007 is a module bus card which can be used
in fire control panels with a card cage. The purpose of the line card (interactive, Ex)
is to migrate interactive Ex line devices in the event of modernizations.
The diagram below shows an example overview of the interactive line devices that
can be connected to the line card (interactive, Ex).

1) Ex area
Topologies
Only one ↑ stub can be connected to the ↑ line card (interactive, Ex).
● 1x stub with a maximum of 32 interactive line devices.
● The hazardous area must be connected via the safety barrier SB3.
● The same detectors as for the line card (interactive) can be connected
upstream of the SB3.
