denewhichinformationisimportedbytheProcessorUnit.Foreachport,youcanset
upthecommunicationparameters,andmonitorthedataow.
–MotionReferenceUnit
Amotionreferenceunit(MRU)measuresthevessel’spitchandrollmovementsin
thesea.Dependingonmakeandtype,somesensorswillalsomeasureheave.The
informationprovidedbythemotionsensorisusedbytheST90tostabilizethebeams
andtheechopresentation.
–InstallationParameters
TheInstallationParameterspagesallowyoutodenetherelationshipbetweenthe
physicallocationsofthevarioussensorsandtheST90transducer.Allrelevantsystem
unitsandsensorsmustbedenedwiththeirphysicaloffsetvaluesinrelationtothe
denedShipOrigininthevessel’scoordinatesystem.Youwillonlyneedtodene
theseinstallationparametersonce.
–Synchronization
ThepurposeoftheSynchronizationparametersistosetuptheST90tooperatealone,
orasamasterorslaveinasynchronizedsystem.Synchronizationisrequiredinorder
toavoidinterferenceiftheST90isusedsimultaneouslywithotherhydroacoustic
instrumentswithinthesamefrequencyrange.
–Units
TheST90userinterfacepresentsmanymeasurements.Thesemeasurementsarefor
examplerelatedtodepth,rangeanddistance.FromtheUnitspageyoucontrolwhich
unitsofmeasurementsthatareused.
–OperatingPanel
TheOperatingPanelmustbeconnectedtotheProcessorUnitthroughaserialport.
–BeamDirection
ThepurposeoftheBeamDirectionfunctionistocontrolthevisualdirectionofthe
presentationintheInspectionviews.
–HullUnitConguration
AchoiceofhullunitsisavailablefortheST90Fish-ndingsonar.Thehullunits
offerdifferentphysicalpropertiesandloweringdepths.Thehullunitmustalwaysbe
enabled.Ifyoudisablethehullunit,allhullunitfunctionalitywillberemovedfrom
theST90.
