1.4 Safety maintenance information
1.4.1 Use warning signs
Warning: During maintenance or
service procedure, any attempt to start the
engine, have access or operate control lever
of working device can result in serious
injury or damage.
Always post “DO NOT OPERATE” tag to the
control lever in the cab to alert the other person
that you are carrying out maintenance or
service.
Set the other warning signs around the
machine if necessary.
1.4.2 Parking the machine prior to service
Park the machine on firm level ground.
Lower the bucket to the ground.
Switch off the idle, run the machine at low
speed for 5 minutes.
Set the key switch to OFF position, stop the
engine.
Operate individual control lever, release
internal pressure of hydraulic system.
Remove the key from the switch, set the pilot
lock lever to LOCK position.
Post “DO NOT OPERATE” sign to the
controls.
Cool the engine.
Chock the track to prevent machine from
moving.
