1.4 Safety maintenance information
1.4.1 Use warning signs
Warning: During maintenance or
service procedure, any attempt to start the
engine, have access or operate control lever
of working device can result in serious
injury or damage.
 Always post “DO NOT OPERATE” tag to the
control lever in the cab to alert the other person
that you are carrying out maintenance or
service.
 Set the other warning signs around the
machine if necessary.
1.4.2 Parking the machine prior to service
 Park the machine on firm level ground.
 Lower the bucket to the ground.
 Switch off the idle, run the machine at low
speed for 5 minutes.
 Set the key switch to OFF position, stop the
engine.
 Operate individual control lever, release
internal pressure of hydraulic system.
 Remove the key from the switch, set the pilot
lock lever to LOCK position.
 Post “DO NOT OPERATE” sign to the
controls.
 Cool the engine.
 Chock the track to prevent machine from
moving.
