C.3.1 Specification of SV 977D as 1/1 and 1/3 octave analyser in the standard
configuration for sound measurements
Statement of performance
SV 977D can operate as 1/1 octave or 1/3 octave analyser with all listed below accessories meeting
requirements of the IEC 61260-1:2014 standard for the pass band filters for the Class 1 Group X instruments.
Note: Simultaneously to the frequency analysis, SV 977D operates as a Sound Level Meter - see
Chapters C.1 for specification.
Configuration of the complete analyser
SV 977D sound & vibration level meter and analyser
SV 12L microphone preamplifier
ST 02 adapter (input impedance 18 pF)
Normal operating mode
SV 977D in configuration with the SV 12L microphone preamplifier and ST 02 adapter with following settings:
High or Low measurement range (path: <Menu> / Measurement / Range – see Chapter
4.6), switched off
Microphone compensation, selected Free Field compensation and switched off Windscreen compensation
(path: <Menu> / Measurement / Compensation – see Chapter 4.5).
Note: When the 1/1 or 1/3 octave analyser is used with the microphone installed (for acoustic
signals), the Microphone compensation must be switched on (path: <Menu> / Measurement /
Compensation).
Signal input
● SV 12L preamplifier throughout the ST 02 adapter
● Maximum input voltage: SV 977D meets the requirements IEC 348 for the 2
nd
class device. The input
voltage shall not exceed the limits between 0 V and +28 V.
● Impedance: 18 pF.
