problem.Thistestdeterminesifawheelmotorhasexcessiveinternalleakage
andwear.
Note:Overaperiodoftime,awheelmotorcanwearinternally.Awornmotor
maybypassthehydraulicuidinternallythatreducesthemotorefciency.After
sometime,sufcientuidlosscausesthewheelmotortostallunderheavyload
conditions.Continuedoperationwithaworn,inefcientmotorcangenerate
excessiveheat,causedamagetothesealsandothercomponentsinthe
hydraulicsystemandaffectoverallmachineperformance.
TestProcedure
IMPORTANT
ThetractioncircuitowfortheGroundsmaster360isapproximately
57L/minute(15gallons/minute).Usea40GPMhydraulictester
#AT40002(pressureandow)forthistest;refertoSpecialTools
(page4–27).
1.Ensurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperature.
2.EnsurethatthetractiondriveiscorrectlyadjustedfortheNEUTRALposition.
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page4–5).
3.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,andsettheparkingbrake.
