A.Ifthecuttingdeckisstillsuspendedafter2hoursandliftcylinderrod
movementislessthan31.7mm(1.25inch),considerthattheliftcylinder
isingoodcondition.
Note:Aliftcylinderingood,usableconditionwillshowminimalrod
movement.
B.Iftherodmovementismorethan31.7mm(1.25inch)after2hours,
indicatesaliftcylinderwithinternalsealdamageorexcessiveinternal
wear.Replaceorrepairtheliftcylinder;refertoLiftCylinder(page4–165)
andServicingtheLiftCylinder(page4–168).
9.Oncetheliftcylinderconditionisdetermined,useajacktoraisebothsidesof
thecuttingdeckslightlywhichremovestheloadfromtheliftcylinder.
10.Supportbothsidesofthecuttingdeckwithjackstands.
11.Removethecapfromthecylinderttingandtheplugfromthehydraulichose.
12.Connectthehydraulichosetotheliftcylindertting.
13.Removethetapefromtheliftcylinderrod.
14.Removethejackstandsfromthecuttingdeck.
15.Starttheengineandoperatetheliftcylinderthroughseveralraiseandlower
cycles.Shutofftheengineandcheckforanyleakage.
16.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulicreservoir.
