andlowerproblem.Thistestdeterminesiftheliftcylinderisdamaged.
Note:Theraise/lowercircuitoperationcanbeaffectedbytheliftcylinder
binding,extraweightonthecuttingdeck,and/orbindingoftheliftcomponents.
Ensurethattheseitemsarecheckedbeforecontinuingwiththeliftcylinder
internalleakagetest.
TestProcedure
1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfacewiththePTOswitchoff,positionthe
cuttingdeckinapartiallyraisedposition,shutofftheengine,andsetthe
parkingbrake.
2.Underbothsidesofthecuttingdeck,useajacktoraisethecuttingdeck
slightly.Thisremovestheloadfromtheliftcylinderandreleasesthelift
cylinderhydraulicpressure.
3.Supportbothsidesofthecuttingdeckwithjackstandstopreventthelift
cylinderfromretracting.
4.Cleantheareaaroundthehydraulichoseendatthebarrelendofthelift
cylinder.Disconnectthehydraulichosefromtheliftcylinderbarrelendtting.
IMPORTANT
Whencappingtheliftcylinderttingandhydraulichoseend,use
asteelcapandplugtoensurethatthereisnouidleakage.The
plasticplugscannotholdthehydraulicpressurethatisdeveloped
duringthistestprocedure.
5.Installasteelcapontheopenliftcylinderttingtosealtheliftcylinder.Also,
installasteelplugintheopenendofthedisconnectedhosetoprevent
leakageorcontamination.
