RemovingtheHydraulicTank
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Raisetheoperatorseat.
3.Drainthehydraulicuidfromthehydraulictankintoasuitablecontainer.
4.Removethehydraulictankcoverfromthemachine;refertoControlConsole
(page6–53).
5.Cleanthehydraulichoseendsandttingsonthehydraulictanktoprevent
contaminantsfromenteringintothehydraulicsystem.
6.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulichosesandttings.Remove
thehydraulichosesfromthettingsonthehydraulictank(Figure63)and
drainthehosesintoasuitablecontainer.
7.Installcleancapsorplugsonthehydraulichosesandttingstoprevent
systemcontamination.
8.Removethe4ange-headscrews(item15inFigure62)thatsecurethe
hydraulictanktotheframe.
9.Removethehydraulictankfromthemachine.
10.Removethehydraulicttingsfromthehydraulictankasnecessary(Figure
62).
11.RemoveanddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InspectingtheHydraulicTank
1.Cleanthehydraulictankandstrainerttingassemblywithsolvent.
2.Inspectthehydraulictankforleaks,cracks,orotherdamage.
