CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page4–5).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Loosen,butdonotremovethelocknut(item15inFigure64)thatsecuresthe
wheelhubtothewheelmotor.Also,loosenthewheel-lugnuts.

Beforeliftingthemachinewithajack,reviewandfollowJacking
Instructions(page1–7).
3.Liftthemachinewithajacktoremovetherearwheel,supportthemachine
withjackstands.
4.Removetherearwheelassembly(item16inFigure64),brakedrum,wheel
hub,andbrakeassemblyfromthemachine;refertoServicingtheBrake
(page6–15).
