4.Lubricatethegasketofnewoillterandinstallthelteronthetransmission.
5.Applyathicklayerofanti-seizelubricanttothesplinesofthetransmission
inputshaftandywheelcoupler.
6.Carefullyplacethe2dowelpins(item16inFigure73)intheywheel
housing.Ensurethatthedowelpinsareperpendiculartothefaceofhousing
duringinstallation.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethatyoudonotdamagethetransmission,ywheelhousing,
hydrauliclines,electricalharness,orotherpartswhileinstallingthe
transmission.
CAUTION
Theweightofthetransmissionisapproximately41kg(90lb).
Supportthetransmissionassemblywhenyouinstallittotheywheel
housingtopreventitfromfallingandcausingpersonalinjury.
7.Supportthetransmissiontopreventitfromshifting.
8.Lowerthetransmissionintothemachine.Alignthetransmissioninputshaft
withtheywheelcouplerandslidethetransmissiontotheywheelhousing.
Itmaybenecessarytoturntheenginecrankshafttohelpalignthesplinesof
thetransmissionshaftandcoupler.
9.Assemblethetransmissiontotheywheelhousingwiththe7bolts(items10
and12inFigure73)and7lockwashers.Ensurethattheshorter(35mm)
bolt(item10inFigure73)isproperlypositioned.Torquetheboltsto45
N∙m(400in-lb).
10.Installthe2bolts(item19inFigure73),2locknuts,androllpinthatsecures
thedriveshafttothetransmission.
11.Onbothsidesofthemachine,attachthescrewandangenutthatsecures
thelinkassemblytothetransmissioncontrolarm(Figure74).
Note:Theboltisinstalledfromtheinnersideofthecontrolarm.
12.Carefullypositiontheseatchanneltotheframe(Figure75).Securetheseat
channeltotheframewith2screws,2atwashers,and2angenuts.
13.Removethecapsorplugsthatwereinstalledtothehydraulichosesand
ttingsduringtheremovalprocess.
14.Usethelabelsthatyouattachedduringtheremovalprocesstocorrectly
connectthehydraulichosestothetransmission,gearpump,andhydraulic
tankttings;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHoseandTube(O-RingFace
SealFitting)(page4–8).
