RemovingtheOilCooler
Theradiatorandoilcoolermustberemovedfromthemachineasanassembly;
refertoRemovingtheRadiator(page3–13).
InspectingtheOilCooler
1.Backushtheoilcoolerwithcleaningsolvent.Aftercleaningthecooler,
ensurethatallthesolventisdrainedfromthecooler.
CAUTION
Useeyeprotectionsuchasgoggleswhenusingcompressedairto
drytheoilcooler.
2.Usecompressedairintheoppositedirectionoftheuidowanddrythe
interiorsoftheoilcooler.
3.Installcleanplugsontheoilcoolerports.Cleantheoutersurfaceofthe
cooler.
Note:Theoilcoolermustbefreefromcorrosion,crackedtubes,orexcessive
pittingoftubes.
4.Inspectthebulbsealsontheradiatorandoilcoolerassemblyandreplace
thebulbsealsifdamagedorhardened.
InstallingtheOilCooler
Theradiatorandoilcoolermustbeinstalledintothemachineasanassembly;
refertoInstallingtheRadiator(page3–15).
