1.Ifremoved,installthefanshroudandensurethattheequalclearanceexists
betweenthefanandthetopandbottomofthefanshroud.
2.Ifseparated,assembletheradiatortotheoilcoolerasfollows:
A.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromtheoilcooler,lubricateand
installnewO-ringstothettings.Installthettingsintotheoilcooler
ports(Figure10).
B.Attachtheoilcoolertotheradiatorwiththe4screws(item4inFigure11),
8atwashers,4lockwashers,and4hexnuts.
C.Installtheradiatorandoilcoolerassemblytothemachine.
D.Checkthatthegapbetweentheoilcoolerandradiatorislessthan2.3
mm(0.090inch).Ifthegapismorethan2.3mm(0.090inch),llthegap
withsiliconesealertoensureeffectivesealing.
3.Removethecoversandplugsfromtheopeninginoilcooler,radiator,andthe
disconnectedcoolantandhydraulichosesthatwereinstalledduringremoval.
4.Carefullyaligntheoilcoolerandradiatorwiththeradiatorframe.
5.Installtheradiatorsupport(item1inFigure10)totheradiatorframe,press
theradiatorsupportatthetopwithenoughforcetocompressthebulbsealto
amaximumthicknessof6.35mm(0.25inch)beforetighteningthefasteners.
6.Carefullypositionthefanshroudtotheradiator.Securethefanshroudtothe
frameasshowninFigure10.
7.Connectthefollowinghosestotheradiator:
•Theupperradiatorhosethatisconnectedtothewaterpump.
•Thelowerradiatorhosethatisconnectedtotheengineblock.Ensurethat
thehoseclamponthelowerradiatorhosedoesnotcontactthealternator
belt.
•Thecoolanthosethatisconnectedtothecoolantreservoirassembly.
8.UsenewO-ringsandlubricatetheO-ringsbeforeinstallingthehydraulic
ttingstotheoilcooler.
9.Connecttheupperhydraulichosetothestraighthydraulicttingandlower
hydraulichosetothe45°hydraulicttingintheoilcooler.
10.Applythreadsealanttothethreadsofthepipeplug(item8inFigure11).
Installtheplugintotheradiatoropening.
11.Checkthatnogapsexistbetweentheradiator,theradiatorframe,andthe
machineframe.
12.Filltheradiatorwiththeappropriatecoolant;refertotheOperator’sManual
forcoolantspecications.
Note:Ensurethatthecoolantlevelinthecoolantreservoiriscorrect.
13.Installtheradiatorcap(item2inFigure11)totheradiator.
14.Addhydraulicuidtothehydraulicreservoirasneededtoraisethe
hydraulic-uidleveltotheoperatingrange;refertotheOperator’sManual.
15.Starttheengineandcheckforcoolantandhydraulicuidleaks.Repairany
leaksasrequiredbeforereturningthemachinetoservice.
16.Continuetoruntheenginetoobtaintheoperatingtemperature.Checkthe
coolantandhydraulicuidlevelsandadjustasnecessary.
17.Lowerthehoodandsecureitwiththelatches.
