4.Installnewcrossandbearingsasfollows:
A.Applyacoatofgreasetothebearingboresoftheendyokeand
shaftyoke.Also,applygreasetothebearingsandsealofthebearing
assembly.
Note:Ensurethatallthebearingrollersarecorrectlyseatedinthe
bearingcage.
B.Press1bearingpartiallyintotheyoke.
IMPORTANT
Wheninstallingthecrossintothebearing,ensurethatyoudo
notdamagethebearingseal.
C.Carefullyinsertthecrossintothebearingandyoke.
D.Holdthecrossinalignmentandpressthebearinginuntilithitstheyoke.
E.Carefullypositionthesecondbearingintotheyokeboreandontothe
crossshaft.Pressthebearingintotheyoke.
F.Installthe4snapringstothebearingstosecurethebearingsinplace.
G.Repeattheprocedurefortheotheryoke.
H.Applygreasetothecrossuntilitcomesoutofallthe4bearingcups.
I.Ensurethattheassembledjointmoveswithoutanybinding.Lightlyrap
theyokelugswithasoft-facedhammertoremoveslightbinding.Ifthe
bindingcontinues,disassemblethejointtoidentifythesourceofbinding.
J.InstallthePTOdriveshafttothemachine;refertoInstallingthePTO
